It's RPG Lover Week!!!!

So many releases to week to enjoy.....or make you cry if you barely have time to play anymore and know these games take at least 40-50+ hours to complete..........

Disagaea 3 for PS3

Infinite Undiscovery for 360

Ys Book I & II for Wii VC

Tales of Vesperia for 360

Harvest Moon for DS

Wallet hurting? time schedule to small? yeah i thought so.

Personally, I'm holding out for SO:FD at the end of October, I think it was. Nothing you've got listed really appeals to me; I bought the original Disgaea a while ago, played it, then traded it for SSB:M and the MM:AC. The problem with Nippon Ichi's stuff is that no matter how hard they try, everything they release feels the exact same, and after dropping over a hundred hours into Phantom Brave, right after La Pucelle no less, I'm really burnt out when it comes to their games. I also wasn't too happy with what I played of Disgaea 2, which doesn't help much. I've been thinking about getting ToV and leeching off of someone else's 360, but... I haven't REALLY liked a Tales game since the remake of ToP for the PS, which was, like, the third game released in the series. Symphonia and Abyss weren't bad, but, I probably wouldn't ever play them again now that I've finished them.

dude you're killing me with the abbreviations! :)

I guess I somewhat agree. Personally I really enjoy Nippon Ichi's games and I will always buy them if only because they have always given the option to have the Japanese voices with English subs with should be a main feature in every single RPG! ( I can't stand the crap dub and more than anything the awful names they give to attacks and the way the say it in English....yuck).
I really like the design, tactical combat and offbeat humor of Nippon Ichi's games. La Pucelle had me laughing a lot.

For the Tales games though I'm similar. I bought Tales of Destiny ont he PSX and never finished it because of a stupid labyrinth level i gave up on.
I bought Tales of Symphonia on the GC, played it for 5 hours, liked it and never found the motivation to get back to it.
The problem with Tales of games is that they always make kick ass trailers and have nice animations and graphics so it's enticing but the gameplay and story lacks...

That being said you should definitely grab Ys since it's the best action RPG ever made.

I'm also on the lookout for Star Ocean: First Departure but I wonder if I would not rather just play the SNES version. We'll see.

I played Ys on the NES, slammed into things recklessly, and died. Then I bought a sword and tried again with only marginally better results. It's fun... I might consider picking it up. But probably not.

As for SO, the original game would have been great... if the battle system had been better. FD is built using SO2's battle system, which is a lot better, so I have high hopes for it.

Disagaea 3 - No PS3 = no play :(

Infinite Undiscovery - Only a maybe, it depends on scores it gets from trusted sorces.

Ys Book I & II - Already have it for the PC (But I have never played it)

Tales of Vesperia - I hear it's kinda so so, I'll probably wait for it to go on sale

Harvest Moon DS - This is like the 4th Harvest moon game on DS and none of them are really all that different, so i'll be skipping this one.

So basically all I want to play is Disgaea 3 and it's on a platform I don't own (which it doesn't need to be).

So it's al about Castle Crashers for me this week lol

If you guys want to play some CC with me then I'm all for it :)

Castle Crasher doens;t excite me taht much, mostly cause i play solo.

as for the rest I'm like you Ben no PS3, IU waiting for reviews (btw what's a "trusted" source? ). ToV, i'm not a big Tales fans overall.

Ys you need to go and play right now. period.

i am super psyched for Infinite Undiscovery. In fact, it was that game plus The Last Remnant, Star Ocean: The Last Hope and the FFXIII annoucement that made me decide to get an XBox 360 over a PS3 a couple weeks ago.

SO4, Ninja Gaiden 2 and Chrome Hounds are really pushing me towards the 360, though it's not likely that I'll pick up any of this generation's consoles for a very, very long time; I'm still playing around with last generation's stuff and getting all I can out of them.

Also, not sure how many people really care, but, Bioware's Sonic RPG will be hitting the DS at the end of next month, which I am looking forward to.
