Final Fantasy 4 DS

Got my copy in today.  It's pretty fun so far.  I like how the brighter top screen is used for the action in this one and the lower for maps/information.  Anyone else playing through this one?

FF2 on the SNES was my first console RPG and I've played both Chronicles and the GBA one as well.

This game will keep me occupied with playing games rather than programming them.  :)

I don't know. I think i'd rather replay the SNES or PSX remake.

that being said FFIV is one of my favorite FF ever. great plot, amazing characters, and superb soundtracks.

"Could this be...an omen??!"

I definitely agree with that. Though most of the series' fanbase seems to be against me on this one, I think FF IV was the best game in the series.

I bought FF III for the DS when it came out over here, but, in spite of FF III being one of six in the series I really liked, I never finished it. The fact that the ninja and sage classes were basically trash when compared to their NES counterparts was a big part of that, as was the fact that I had to do a bunch of wifi crap to get the last class, as opposed to just walking up to someone I knew, standing next to them for a few minutes, spamming their inboxes, and walking away. Seeing that, as far as I know,  this game was developed by the same people, I'm a bit weary about picking it up... though, in the end, I'll probably end up picking this up, and III again. I'm such a sucker for old FF games.

Re: Final Fantasy 4 DS

Well, I've gotten to the Lunar Subterranean part and it's pretty good.  The big thing with this title is once you get to Mount Ordeals, the enemies seem to begin taking a huge leap in strength.  I remember the Tower of Zot, those ice beasts were like impossible at first.  I recently fought those red dragons in the last dungeon and they were harder than most bosses.

So, you will have to spend time level increasing...
