Hi!

I think this is the best work you guys made til date... It looks very pro, and the interviews looks quite interesting... Congratulations for this work (and I think it was an exclusive! I dont see any other site covering this championship!)

My sentiments exactly. I probably wouldnt have shown much interest had it not been for seeing king of kong a few weeks ago on g4. And speaking of g4, retroware tv pummels any program on that channel in my opinion. Well now that I think of it, a lot of independent shows on youtube pummel anything done by g4.

Re: Funspot coverage

I'm still pissed off that we lost one of our tapes, but I'm glad we do have some of what we were able to get at the tournament. It was a lot of fun getting to meet everybody again and talking to Jeff about DKII was really cool. If you see a place that has DKII or if you own a machine, don't hesitate to play it. He put a lot of love into the game and it's more then just a simple ROM hack.

Re: Funspot coverage

I watched the video about the Donkey Kong 2 game.  Very cool stuff.  Almost makes me want to see an NES variant of it.  LOL.  Doubt such a thing will come though.

You forgot to place "quotes" around the word "lost" Moonjump. I am still pissed as well about our "missing tape" and am really glad that you John and Ito were able to get an interview with Jeff. Really cool guy who was rather surprised when Nick and I approached him for an interview. I also love hearing my favorite Pinball machines attract mode going off in the background during the interview (its the Harlem Globetrotters table).

Re: Funspot coverage

Is it legal for someone to actually mod and sell a game like that for profit, call it Donkey Kong II, and even have the Nintendo logo on it?  Isn't this how General Computer got into trouble with Atari in the early 80's?  Did Nintendo officially sanction it?

Re: Funspot coverage

Yet another quality interview. I'm not sure how you do it but the sound quality is amazing.

It just really really makes me yearn for the 80's when arcades were actually like that.... full of games... *shuffles off mumbling about the good old days*
