Alright i thought for a while and these came to mind that i remember enjoying playing quite a lot in the arcades. In no particular order:
- Gauntlet
- TMNT
- The Simpsons Arcade Game
- Spy Hunter
- Space Invaders
- Terminator 2
- Hang-On (on the bike of course!)
- Cabal
- 1943 (Battle for Miday or something? The one with the life bar and end bosses, loved it)
- Bubble Bobble
- Super Off Road
- Shinobi (although i never got really far, but the first 2 levels kicked ass at least lol)
- Commando (also loved it on the c64)
- After Burner
- Metal Slug (the whole serries is great as far as i've seen)
- Gradius
Man i miss the arcades... Here i only know one but it's small and it sucks, and i think you can cound all of the arcades in the Netherlands with 2 hands of fingers... I'm missing a lot of racing games i enjoyed but i can't really remember the names and since they look alike so much it's hard to find them. But i loved the ones where you could take place and it would move and all that, closest i get to driving for real lol. BTW i HATE Pac Man, those ghosts make me nervous, damn them! I hate being chased! You also might have noticed the absense of fighting games on my list, i just suck at them and i don't really like them much. |

One game I like that I know I will not review is Boot Camp. Great game especially the track ball version. In the words of Kurtwood Smith AKA Clarence Boddicker, Bitches Leave! |

I loved Time Crisis 1 and 2 (the sequels were subpar)
the Star Wars Race game from Episode 1 was really cool but too few tracks sadly.
Hokuto no Ken was a fun arcade too, punching a bunch of stuf to go wa tatattatatatttatatata.
Crusin' USA was a blast at the time and so was Daytona USA.
I really liked Silent Scope too. "Could this be...an omen??!" |

I always been very rare for arcades :D
The REAL arcades (I mean, arcades before the 3D era) had dissapeared from Spain long time ago. So, I remember only the ones I played when I was a child...
I remember to play hours and hours of Knuckle Joe
Too hard, but one of the first Beat'em up ever made, I think... it was released in 1985, two years earlier than Double Dragon, and three years earlier than Dragon Ninja, besides its resemblances... My original language isnt english. That's why I sound tan raro...

Hmmm.. very tricky. I grew up during the 80's, so spent the 80's and the first half of the 90's playing arcade games a hell of a lot. I was lucky enough to get to play most stuff when it was pretty much brand new out and was way way beyond anything we had at home. Back then you played on the ZX Spectrum, Amstrad CPC 464 and the C64 at home and at your mate's houses, then played the truly awesome (in comparison) arcade games in whatever arcades you could find them; usually at some seaside town. The list of fantastic games I enjoyed in the arcades runs into the hundreds, so I'll go with this as my top ten.
1. Outrun (Deluxe cabinet.... mmmmmmmmmmmm!!)
2. Space Harrier (Deluxe cabinet)
3. Hang On (Sit on bike version)
4. Chase HQ (Hydraulic cabinet)
5. Hard Drivin' (Sit in cabinet with a clutch... completely insane)
6. Space Invaders 91
7. Street Fighter 2
8. Star Wars (Cockpit cabinet)
9. Samurai Showdown
10. R-Type

I just read an article on Hard Drivin on I think IGN or something. There were talking about lost sequels and there were two sequels that were pretty much finished that were never released. Mainly due to them being made in the mid 90s I believe where the tech was REALLY old at that point. They used a modified board that was still based off the original games board.
