Hi, my name is Daniel and I'm from sweden.
I've been coming to this site on and off in the search for good quality videos (I find this very rare on the internet) and i figured; why not join the forum? I usually don't join english-speaking forums 'cause I feel that there's often to much flaming/trolling/spamming, this is probably because everyone can join in (almost everyone can speak english) and it's harder for the admin's to sort them out from the rest of the crowd. maybe I was just unlucky and looking at the wrong forum-boards...
However, with this forum it feels different, it feels like I can have serious discussions (if I would wan't to) and really learn something about gaming on the other side of the ocean. Well well, enough of that crap...
My consoles:
Sega Master System
Sega Mega Drive
Sega Saturn
Amiga CD32
NEC Turbografx (Pal release, not very common I know)
Sony Playstation
Sony Playstation 2
Nintendo NES
Super NES
Nintendo 64
Nintendo GameCube
Nintendo Gameboy Colour
Nintendo Gameboy Advance
Favourite: Sega Mega Drive
My (retro) Computers:
Commodore Amiga 500
Commodore Amiga 500+
Spectravideo 328
Commodore C64
Apple Macintosh Classic
Paravision SX-1 (Turns the Amiga CD32 into a A1200 with ram capabilities of 8mb and supports a maximum harddrive size of up to 8gb with OS3.1 of course)
Favourite: Paravision SX-1
I might have missed something, but anyway, hope I'm welcome in to this forum. :) I don't have to pay attention to the sacred chao™, for I am already enlightened and will be so until they cut the power off |

Nice Computer stuff. I've never had the chance to play with like over half of those. Damn Europe and it's crazy computer scene lol
Glad to have you on the site. I hope you enjoy your stay. :)
PS. I'd love to know more about your favorite games for those computers or any info about them really. Living in the states, I never really had the chance to get my hands on them. -Ben

Haha yeah, Europe used to be crazy about computers, that's for sure. :D
I can give you the basics on some of the computers if you'd like or to link some good information sites. Just tell me wich computers you are interested in and I'll try to be as informative as I can, I'm quite read on the subject (especially Amiga). :)
Favourite games:
Amiga 500/500+ (Runs basically the same games):
Moonstone; Cult classic, Medieval swordfighting with lot's of gore, monsters, great gameplay and story
Rick Dangerous; Basically a Indiana Jones lookalike platforming game with Indiana Jones like contraptions and Natives trying to kill you for stealing their gold
Rockstar ate my hamster; A comedic music business simulator with lots of fun, Guru Larry covers it on a Games Yanks Can't Wank Episode
A1200 (Paravision SX-1)
Frontier Elite II; A Sci-fi 3D spaceship flyer with an open world and roleplaying elements (will run on a A500 but with huge amounts of lag)
ZOOL 1/2 AGA; A platformer al'a Sonic Style with lot's of in game advertising (chupachups FTW!) but with solid gameplay and nice graphics
Gloom; FPS a'la doom nice gory game with solid gameplay
Commodore C64
Giana Sisters; How can I NOT put this here
Yie Ar Kung-fu; Fighting game (You know the style of Street Fighter but way before that was released), second real fighting game in the world I believe (I could be wrong)
The Last Ninja; Very cool ninja game that pushed the C64 to it's limits
I picked up the Spectravideo at a flea market not long ago for about $5 (In comparison) so I haven't really established any real favourites yet
Macintosh Classic (I don't really own that many games, two to be exact)
Dark Castle; Needs no introduction
Blackjack; Same.
Damn, that ended up long, but hope it was informative enough.

Some Trivia:
You know how Benzaie (Games you might don't know) made a remark in his TOKI video: Take that AMIGA!
This goes back to the computer "wars", it was the Amiga vs. Atari ST, much like the console wars of the 16-bit generation.
BENZAIE!! AMIGA RULES! :D lol I don't have to pay attention to the sacred chao™, for I am already enlightened and will be so until they cut the power off |

Hi Daniel!
Awesome to find you on here too! Hope you'll enjoy it, since there's no flaming on these forums. It's just a bunch of cool guys here hehe. Quite an awesome collection you've got there and some great favorites. I especially liked Rick Dangerous, although I played that on the c64 only, not sure how different the versions are but that game was awesome (and hard). |

Moonday it should be ready, I can't work on them much in weekends, but it's almost ready so should be done tomorrow. Not sure if I really like this one that much though, but we'll see. After this one I'll do Dark Castle |

Welcome to the site Daniel. man everyone is called Daniel here :)
It's funny how Europe US and Japan vary in consoles. We never really had the PC-Engine but we were really big on computer in the beginning. never realized the US weren't though. I remember those great Amstrad commercials in France with the crocodile. "Could this be...an omen??!" |

Welcome Kamrat, yeah everyone here is pretty cool, no arguing or anything and no A-Holes either. Pretty diverse croud too there people from all over the world here. Personally I love it because there are so many cultural differnces in both socially and in the gaming scene that I am always learning new stuff. Glad you decided to join the forums we appreciate it.
