What games did you buy that HVGN reviewed? For me it was Journey to Silius.

Same here, I loved that game. Don't think I ever beat it, though, I should try it again too.

In the Startropics review, though, HVGN actually reminded me of something bad.  ; )  Though it's not exactly the game's fault... in Startropics, the get-your-letter-wet thing was cool, but it sucked for those of us who were renting!  I don't know if they left the letter out of the rental package cause it looked like pointless extra stuff that wasn't needed, or if an earlier renter just lost it, but I was pretty stuck when I first got to that point.

I still need to get around to trying Metal Storm and Journey to Silius, but I did start playing Nightshade once I saw that review.

I recently got my hands on Rocket Knight Adventure, this game was totally new to me and it's great indeed. Haven't had much time to fully play it yet though

well, i just dropped about $180 at my local retro store on games for potential videos.  if not for the popularity of the hvgn, i probably wouldn't have bought them.
