Pink Floyd's The Wall for NES!
Modified By Nightshade on 1/5/2009 10:21:39 PM)

I was on another forum just now, and somebody mentioned a fan-made NES game of Pink Floyd's awesome album The Wall. I immediately PM'ed him asking for more information, and he kindly gave me the ROM. If you've never heard the album, or seen the movie based on the album:The Wall is basicly the life's story of Pink Floyd's mastermind Roger Waters, but the character in the album and the movie isn't named after him. In the game, he must get to the top of this giant wall and confront his wife, and the judge from the album's finale. While climbing the wall, he also has to avoid marching hammers, and an abusive school teacher.  Overall, the music doesn't sound like Pink Floyd music, but the sprites and the font are pretty good 8 bit recreations of the artwork from the album and the animated sequences in the movie, just as the person on the other forum insisted, and I agree with him/her.

That sounds really great! I'd love to check that out!

I haven't seen that movie in years, but I always liked it. And I do love Pink Floyd. Still a huge fan of Dark Side of the Moon. :)

I like the music, never really saw the movie though. Never knew about that homebrew game, but not to surpising I guess. Sounds interesting, to bad they could't have the music though, but that'd be hard to convert to NES audio I guess.
