RETROWARE TV Show/Site FAQ:
Who are we?
Just two guys who love old video games. We aren't experts but we feel the need to spread the word on the lost classics.
When is your next show?
Our goal is to put out a show once a month. Ideally we would like 2 a month but we both work 9-5 jobs so it’s hard to guarantee that we can do that. Most likely we will have 1 a month. We will make our best efforts to try and do more.
I have a suggestion for a game you should cover!
Awesome, we are always open to ideas and welcome your suggestions. We will definitely be covering requested games just keep in mind though we can't do all of them. Just post the suggesion it in the appropiate shows forums page. HERE
Will you be doing interviews every show?
We would love to do so but with time constraints we can't do it every show. We will try our hardest to interview someone from the retro gaming community as much as possible.
Do you guys get paid for this or make money off this?
NOPE, all donations and any profit made from the gear section and affiliates we sell goes DIRECTLY in to our show for better equipment, and transportation costs for when we travel to get interviews. We do not keep any money for ourselves.
What do you use to get game footage?
Well all video game footage is recorded to mini DV tape then digitally edited. As for the source of the game footage, Retroware TV does NOT use emulation in their show. All games are played on their original platform using original carts/discs. Both John D and Ito are purists when it comes to this.
What's with Ito's voice?
Ito's left vocal chord is paralyzed, deal with it.
How can I contact you guys?
Simple, see the above bios for our email addresses.
Is there any way I can contribute?
Leaving us feedback on the forums or via email is always a great help to us. We will listen to you guys! If you want to contribute more we are accepting donations to help us obtain better video and audio equipment. You can do so via Paypal.
Is Video Game Take-Out, Destroy The Humanoid, Happy Video Game Nerd, From Pixels To Plastic and The Gaming Historian run by Retroware TV?
Nope all shows are run by their creators. Retroware TV hosts completely independent game videos. We make it a point to never dictate any creative influence over any of these shows - they are great as they are. They must remain pure, damnit!
